PUBLIC SECTOR: PR students to cut crime in Plymouth

Plymouth City Council is working with the PR students at the city's

College of St Mark and St John to develop campaigns for cutting crime

and regenerating the city. A conference will take place next week where

the work of the 88 undergraduates at the college will be unveiled.

Project work includes creating a fresh image for Plymouth's city centre

partnership scheme. Council city manager David Draffen said: 'The

challenge is to attract visitors and investment. PR, branding and media

profile are all essential to Plymouth city centre's viability.'
