Public Affairs: BPPA's 'Doctor Who' renewal

Bell Pottinger Public Affairs has strengthened its team following three senior resignations.

The agency headed by Peter Bingle has promoted former Conservative Party staffer Claire Jakobsson to director. It has hired Will Blair from Weber Shandwick as an account director and appointed two former interns as consultants.

BPPA also recently hired James McLaughlin, son of Tory chief whip Patrick McLaughlin. Bingle said: 'BPPA, rather like Doctor Who, constantly transforms itself. We have become a younger, more vibrant and dynamic team while retaining the necessary grey hairs.'

In recent weeks BPPA has lost directors Neil Stockley, Alex Deane and Kevin Doran.
