The Hallmark Channel, part of US company Hallmark Entertainment
Network, is taking PR in-house.
The network had been using Prism Entertainment, which assisted in the
launch of the channel in May 2000.
Having completed this initial phase, the firm is reverting to an
internal team, reporting to marketing director Matthew Woods.
Prism director Rod Henwood confirmed the pre-arranged strategy had
included Prism establishing the infrastructure needed for the switch to
The Hallmark Channel specialises in the broadcast of a mixture of
home-made and bought-in mini series, TV movies and dramas, predominantly
of American origin.
In the UK, it is currently available only on Sky Digital.
