Finsbury will support the publisher in telling its story to the market, the financial press and investors. The account will be headed up by Finsbury managing partner James Murgatroyd.
Reed Elsevier produces the LexisNexis database and publishes scientific, legal and business-to-business information and magazines.
Earlier this year, Finsbury was called in to handle Reed’s acquisition of Accuity, the US online subscription services company. The deal was thought to be worth £343m.
Finsbury’s appointment comes a month after Reed announced that Mark Armour, the company’s chief financial officer for the past 15 years, is to retire at the end of 2012.
