Harrison Cowley selected to drive Subway UK push

American sandwich retailer Subway has chosen Harrison Cowley to

spearhead its assault on the UK snack market.



Until now, the restaurant franchise, which operates more than 14,800

outlets in 76 countries, has been testing British waters with a limited

number of outlets. It is now set actively to pursue more franchises as

part of the promotional campaign.



Harrison Cowley account director Matthew McKenna, who leads the account,

described the chain's target market as 'students and young urban

professionals'. In addition to the promotion of new franchises, Harrison

Cowley's brief will include consumer PR across the UK and Ireland.



The six-figure account, which was the subject of a two-way pitch, will

report to Subway UK development agent Paul Heyes.
