The company is moving from developing unbranded phones for other companies to selling its devices under its own name.
It is launching its first smart phone The Blaze in the UK this month. The handset will be sold through Phones 4u and Tesco Mobile.

Huawei already retains Fleishman-Hillard on an operator and enterprise technology remit. The agency will now take on a consumer brief and will begin by helping the company ramp up media relations and social media engagement. This will include an event in early November to celebrate the brand’s UK consumer debut.
