Bell Pottinger wins pitch for ETI media relations account

The UK's largest credit insurance company, EULER Trade Indemnity

(ETI), has turned to Bell Pottinger Public Relations to handle its

national media relations programme.

Bell Pottinger won the account following a three-way competitive pitch.

There was no incumbent.

ETI has tasked the agency with raising the company's profile in the

national and industry-specific trade press.

'We felt the market we're in is so competitive, it was necessary for us

to beef up our PR presence in order to take advantage of the fact that

we are the market leader,' said Alan Hughes, head of marketing at

ETI.

The remit is B2B covering all UK media, with a team of three working on

the account.

'We have a philosophy that we want to be the leading the market and we

want Bell Pottinger to support our positioning,' said Hughes.

ETI, which employs nearly 600 staff in the UK, has 44 per cent of the UK

credit insurance market share, followed by rival NCM.

It is part of the EULER group, which consists of companies in France,

the UK, Italy, the US, Canada and the Benelux Countries.
