In June, McDowall won the 2011 Britain’s Got Talent final to scoop the £100,000 prize and a place at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
The singer from Ayrshire, Scotland, has now hired Soundcheck Entertainment to promote his forthcoming activity, which includes his performance at the Royal Variety show and a planned debut album.
Soundcheck Entertainment was set up in August by Daniel Hinchliffe, Sony Music's former head of promotions.
McDowall is currently signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco Records, a subdivision of Sony Music. His debut album, which is yet to be confirmed, is reportedly due to be released around December this year.
Meanwhile, Soundcheck has also launched a division specifically offering PR for theatre productions.
