PUBLIC SECTOR: Manchester police to replace Williamson

Greater Manchester Police is to replace assistant press and PR

director John Williamson, who was sacked two months ago amid allegations

from female colleagues of sexual harassment. The role he vacated

includes managing a six-strong team, which handles internal comms,

internet issues and administration. In the interim, his duties are being

taken on by director of press and PR Collette Booth. She said: 'We have

an excellent system of dealing with sexual harassment and since what

happened we haven't felt a need to change that.'
