Taking place on 13 and 14 October at the CIPR's Russell Square offices in London, the event is headlined 'Hard Times: Communications in an Age of Austerity'.
CIPR local public services group chair Polly Rance said: 'The conference will look at all the big issues - the continuing media scrutiny of local public services, the way comms is key to rebuilding our communities following the riots, as well as looking at how we can all engage our communities in the Olympics.'
London Councils comms director Jo Revill will chair a panel of journalists to discuss the 'newly hostile' media climate and how public ser-vices can keep telling a good story in the face of adversity.
