Tetley, the UK's leading tea manufacturer, is holding a consumer PR
pitch, with a number of high-profile agencies rumoured to be in the
It is understood that the pitch process is at an advanced stage with
Tetley having whittled agencies down to a shortlist following initial
meetings with a larger number of firms.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed that they had been meeting with
agencies, but would only go on the record to state: 'It is normal

The account is currently held by Biss Lancaster Euro RSCG which is
believed to be repitching for the work alongside a number of other
leading consumer agencies. The agency also worked extensively on
Tetley's 'Sydney 2000' campaign, designed to associate the brand with

It is likely that whoever wins the account will continue the sporting
theme, following the conclusion of an on-box promotion of sports
equipment for schools vouchers.
The Tetley Group employs 1,100 people worldwide and operates two
factories in Britain. The company - which is the second biggest tea
producer in the world - has a global turnover in excess of pounds 300m.
