SINGAPORE: Singapore Exchange (SGX), the company which runs the
country's equity markets, has hired Shandwick to handle financial PR for
the final stage of its demutualisation process. This will involve a
share offering through a private placement and IPO by the year's end.
The account was awarded after a four-way pitch, thought to have included
Gavin Anderson, Burson-Marsteller, and Hill and Knowlton. Shandwick's
brief includes handling an SGX shareholders' EGM and implementing a
strategic communications programme throughout the float.
