Merging investment banks JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan are
overhauling their PR and communications departments.
The banks have already implemented a series of senior PR staff changes,
with more announcements expected soon.
Former JP Morgan head of marketing and communications Christine Holgate
has been named managing director of marketing and communications EMEA
for the new entity - due to be named JP Morgan Chase and Company.
Reporting to her will be Chase Manhattan former head of Europe and Asia
Communications, John Anderson, who becomes the UK head of media
relations.
JP Morgan's recent recruit Farzana Hakim will take on the role of head
of media relations for continental Europe and Africa.
Hakim joined from 10 Downing Street, where she looked after European
political issues and ethnic minorities in her previous role as Tony
Blair's political secretary.
JP Morgan's previous head of marketing, Carol Lake, will take on the
same role, but with expanded responsibilities for Chase Manhattan as
well.
Lake's position includes heading internal communications for both banks.
