INTERNATIONAL: BORDER LINES - Shandwick opens new office

GUANGZHOU: Shandwick International has opened an office in the capital of southern China, Guangzhou. Housed in the same premises as its advertising sister, McCann-Erickson, the new outpost will be managed from Shanghai by Ivy Soonthornsima, director of Shandwick's central and southern China operations. She will head a team of three, working with clients such as Kodak and Mastercard. Shandwick China MD Diane McCulloch said: 'We have been operating in so many secondary and third-tier cities in central and southern China with companies like Kodak that we need to be closer to our range of contacts there.'
