James Rothnie, easyGroup PR chief, has revealed plans to take on a PR manager for the easyEverything internet cafe chain.
Rothnie, director of corporate affairs for the group, is currently handling all PR for the venture worldwide, alongside his responsibilities for the rest of the easyGroup, including budget airline easyJet and car hire arm easyRentacar.
However, with the easyEverything flotation planned for next October, Rothnie aims to recruit a PR manager to oversee and co-ordinate PR and investor relations for the brand within the next six months.
'At the moment I rely very much on the marketing managers in each of the easyEverything locations and it's stretching me,' said Rothnie.
'There is room for someone in head office to co-ordinate communications with the marketing managers and ensure the corporate message is put out at the right time as the stores open.
'We are going to need someone to talk to the financial press and the City,' he added.
easyGroup chairman Stelios Haji-Ioannou is planning to float easyEverything next year and early estimates of its worth stand at over pounds 1billion.
Since the brand was launched last June, the group has opened ten stores across Europe. It plans to have 22 up and running by the end of next year, with 60 the year after that.
The group is opening an 800-seater internet cafe in Times Square, New York, at the end of next month.
