BORDER LINES: Oldest agency closes down
BUENOS AIRES: Argentina's oldest PR agency, Aja Espil & Asociados, has been forced to close. The agency's 70-year-old founder and president, Rodolfo Aja Espil, has been unable to take care of the business since the beginning of the year due to illness. It plans to distribute the nine remaining executives with their severance packages. The agency handled PR for some of Argentina's premier brands, including Sony TV and local construction giant Techint. Aja Espil was Hill and Knowlton's first Argentine affiliate from 1985 until 1996.
