PUBLIC SECTOR: Wingate to direct Chelgate London office
Public sector specialist Chelgate PR has appointed Frank Wingate as a director at its London head office. Wingate is transferring from Chelgate's Asia offices in Hong Kong where he served as executive chief director. He established Wingate PR in 1991 before Chelgate acquired the company as its first Asian office in 1996. He has been responsible for building Chelgate's high profile Asian clients, such as Kodak and American Express. In the UK, the agency has a number of high profile public sector clients, including Lewisham Borough Council. Chelgate chairman Terence Fane-Saunders has yet to announce the role Wingate will play when he takes up the post in February next year.
