The Dazed and Confused Group is to launch reFuel, a car-focused bi-monthly magazine, on 21 June.
Editor Dan Ross claims it will be a design-led mixture of lifestyle, culture and economics and reflect the 'fun aspects' of driving.
'People come in with ideas all the time and every now and then one sparks. This is going to appeal to people who like cars but don't like car magazines,' he said.
reFuel will not suffer from a 'very male, middle-aged mindset', he added.
Although the magazine will carry practical advice on changing a tyre, Ross said it was likely that illustrations to accompany such a piece would show fashion models in the latest clothes.
Musicians and filmmakers with a motoring interest will also be featured.
