PUBLIC SECTOR: London Development Agency seeks PR head
The London Development Agency (LDA), which will implement Mayor Ken Livingstone's economic development and regeneration strategy for the capital, is seeking its first head of communications. Responsibilities will include advising senior managers on internal communications and devising branding campaigns. 'The person will carry the message to ensure successful economic regeneration to the region,' said communications manager Colin Hallmark, who will report to the new appointee. The LDA originally appointed Bell Pottinger Good Relations on a project basis to advise on the body's PR prior to its establishment in July (PR Week, 5 May).
