Burson-Marsteller hires crisis specialist Katherine Dooley from Regester Larkin

Burson-Marsteller has poached Katherine Dooley from crisis specialists Regester Larkin to be director of its corporate and crisis practice.

Dooley will report to the corporate and crisis chair MD Amanda Pierce.

She moves to B-M from Regester Larkin where she was a senior consultant. She specialised in issues management, crisis communications and crisis management preparedness, working for clients that included ExxonMobil, Shell, European Central Bank and Roche.

Pierce said of Dooley: ‘She’s a seasoned crisis and issues strategist with the ability to mould communications strategies for companies with complex issues.’

Before Regester Larkin Dooley was external affairs adviser at Shell UK, where she was charged with improving lines of communication to key stakeholders and raising the firm's crisis preparedness. She also developed submissions to government consultations.
