Abchurch has won a corporate and financial brief to raise the company's profile within the business and financial press. Noble owns two major brands; A. H. Baldwin & Sons, which was established in 1872 and handles rare coins, and Apex Philatelics, which focuses on the auctioning of world stamps.

In addition, Abchurch will be working on a specific project to promote the Prospero Collection of more than 600 historically important ancient Greek coins.

The collection will be auctioned on 4 January 2012 and is expected to be valued at several millions of pounds.

Noble said this is one of the 'most desirable collections of ancient rare coins in existence', which has remained complete and untouched for the past 20 years, having been collected over a number of decades.

Julian Bosdet, chief executive of Abchurch, commented: 'Rare and valuable coins and stamps are becoming increasingly appealing, not only to collectors, but to a much wider audience looking for alternative investments. We look forward to working with [Noble MD] Ian Goldbart and his team.'

Associate Director Joanne Shears will lead the Abuchurch account team.
