Basildon Council head of comms Paul Ilett is leaving to take a job as a Barnardo's regional media manager. Ilett leaves on Monday and Westminster City Council is handling the search for his replacement, as it is currently overseeing comms for Basildon.

Harrow CouncIL is reporting a dramatic rise in resident satisfaction - up from 29 per cent to 43 per cent - following its Let's Talk campaign, which started last November, when the council hit the streets with a pop-up living room and asked residents to help set its priorities.

ICE chief executive Stuart Jackson has responded to the House of Lords science and technology sub-committee's report, Behaviour Change - published last week - which states that 'nudging' on its own is unlikely to be successful in changing the population's behaviour. In a statement, Jackson agreed: 'Although nudges form an important part of the solution to some of our society's most entrenched health and social challenges, they are by no means a magic bullet.'
