Voluntary Sector: The Week in Charities

The Institute of Fundraising has appointed Tom Lodziak as digital media manager to promote its products, services and online resources.

Previously, Lodziak was web and information officer for the UK Youth Parliament, where he managed web, social media and e-marketing activity.

Yorkhill Children's Foundation has recruited Laura Donnelly and Kirsty Norris to its fundraising, marketing and comms team. They have taken the roles of corporate and events fundraising assistant, and marketing and comms fundraising assistant, respectively.

iProSper Media handled the PR for Get Connected's fun run, which took place in Hyde Park last Saturday. All profits from the event will go directly towards helping to raise awareness of Get Connected and its cause, to help young people with issues such as homelessness.

YouthNet, the online teenage charity, is supporting BBC Radio 1 this Sunday when it dedicates three hours of shows to 'talking about all things sex'.

WorldSkills London 2011, an event to find the most skilled young person in the world, is seeking 100 media centre volunteers to work with it at the ExCel Centre during the week commencing 3 October.
