MasterCard has handed its music sponsorship PR work to communications company the big group.
The big group will now be responsible for exploiting the credit card giant's pounds 5m, three-year sponsorship of the BRIT Awards, and the MOBO Awards. MasterCard has also announced plans to develop its association with the music industry.
Various divisions of the big group will work on the campaign, including big PR, big ideas and big interactive.
Managing director Nick Scott said: 'We will use a mix of press relations, competitions, branding and web developments reaching millions of fans, principally targeting the key market of 18 to 45-year-olds.'
The account was previously held by Starfish Communications, but the big group worked on last year's MOBO Awards. There was a two-way pitch for the work.
Hazel Scott is the account director for big PR, reporting to UK head of marketing Rita Broe. The BRITS will be held in London on 26 February; the nominations were announced earlier this week. It is the third time MasterCard has sponsored the ceremony.
