The inaugural PRCA pub quiz was won last week by all-round clever clogs Flagship Group who took the glittering trophy after defeating 25 of their rivals.
The win was a team effort but singled out for particular praise was 'secret weapon' account executive Chris Lee, who has been a finalist on Channel 4's afternoon quiz-athon Fifteen to One.
And if you have any aspirations about defeating the Flagship team when they next defend their title as the 'cleverest PR agency' you had better be reading this Diary carefully.
Undoubtedly the trickiest round was the one based on stories that had appeared in recent issues of PR Week. These questions certainly sorted the men from the boys and special congratulations must go to VLP who scored an amazing ten out of ten - a feat Diary is unsure it could have achieved after taking a cursory glance at the questions.
However not all agencies proved as impressive as VLP during the round on the industry's must-read journal.
With the hope that naming and shaming them might improve their scores next time, Diary can reveal the wooden spoon was handed to Golley Slater for an abysmal zero.
Perhaps more shameful though was the performance of PR Week's Agency of the Year award winner Firefly. The team was left red-faced with a pretty pathetic score of one out of ten.
