Founder and managing director of Public Image, Frankie Burstin, has joined Cohn and Wolfe.
Her clients, including top boxer Prince Naseem, Lee Cooper Jeans and bigfun.com, join the C & W portfolio.
As associate director, Burstin will report to Jill Rennie, executive director of the consumer division.
She was commended in the Young Achiever category of the PR Week Awards in 1997 and shortlisted for the Cosmo Women of Achievement Awards this year, in the sales, marketing and PR category.
Burstin said of her move: 'I entered the industry because I love PR. I found with running a business there was an increasing amount of administration and time was of a premium.'
Public Image, which was set up in 1997, now ceases to exist and the remaining three staff have not joined C&W.
