Freud Communications appoints Telegraph media editor Amanda Andrews

Freud Communications has poached The Telegraph's media editor to head up its media and technology division.

Amanda Andrews is set to join the agency after working for Telegraph Media Group since 2008. She joins the corporate practice as head of media, focusing on technology, media and telecoms clients.

A spokesman for Freuds said: ‘We are thrilled to have attracted Amanda to Freud. She's a top class business journalist and will play a valuable role with our corporate and media clients.’

Andrews previously worked at The Times, where she was media business correspondent.

Andrews will work closely with Freuds CEO Nicola Howson, and with newly appointed corporate consultant Ruth Settle on corporate media business.

She joins a team that includes associate board director Cathy Dunkley, who was formerly a senior reporter at Variety.

Andrews’ exact start date and client list is yet to be finalised.
