What is it good for?
A friendly, lively neighbourhood gastropub serving a rustic but modern British menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Think country house meets American diner. It transforms from bright and airy during the day to cosy and buzzy in the evenings.
Steak tartare, smoked haddock with poached egg, champ potato and beurre blanc, and sticky toffee pudding.
Who's the boss?
The Garrison was the first venture from Clive Watson and Adam White eight years ago. Since then they have set up Village East in Bermondsey Street and The Riding House Cafe in Fitzrovia.
Visit the quirky cinema room downstairs for meetings and private screenings, or a free Sunday night film club.
What's the damage?
About £20 for two courses, or £25 for three - wine starts from £15 a bottle.
