Band & Brown managing partner Simon Francis is set to leave after almost eight years with the agency. Francis, who will continue to work with two Band & Brown clients as a consultant, has still to confirm if he will launch his own independent outfit or join another agency. Francis is expected to build on his experience of working in public sector and charity PR.

Acceleris Marketing Communications has been appointed by BBC Worldwide to deliver both traditional and digital PR support around the launch of its consumer 'Kirstie and Phil's House Hunter' iPhone app. Acceleris is working alongside BBC Worldwide to drive sales of the app.

NHS Greater Manchester, a newly formed 'super PCT', has drafted in Trafford PCT director of corporate affairs Mike Barker and Tameside and Glossop PCT director of public affairs Naomi Duggan to design the corporate comms, PR, marketing and public engagement function for the newly formed £4.7bn NHS body.
