Sixt appoints Onlinefire for social media outreach programme

Car rental company Sixt has appointed Onlinefire, part of Eulogy, to develop its first social media and online outreach programme.

Sixt aims to strengthen its position in the competitive car hire market.

Onlinefire account planning director Melanie Seasons said: ‘By using a blend of traditional and social media PR we can actively connect with Sixt’s audiences and have a positive impact on its bottom line.’

Sixt UK MD Paul Mcloughlin added: ‘The team have demonstrated a clear understanding of our business and target audiences, which instantly provided us with reassurance that they have a complete understanding of our sector.

‘By combining strategic thinking with creativity I have every confidence that the campaign will deliver results, in new business and repeat bookings.’

Onlinefire’s programme will focus on establishing, building and maintaining Sixt’s online presence through social media platforms, in addition to promoting the car hire company with key online influencers and communities.

Initial campaign activity will focus on positioning the brand as a ‘hyperlocal’ car hire company and supporting Sixt as it launches new initiatives to enhance the customer experience.

Onlinefire will also conduct outreach activity that specifically targets local communities, down to postcode level.
