MEDIA BRIEFS: BBC News to boost social affairs division

BBC News is to add seven new journalists - three broadcast, one online and three producers - to its social affairs team. At the same time, existing correspondents will be grouped into five areas: environment and science, home affairs, health, education and family, and culture in an attempt to clarify who does what. All changes are to be in place by February 2001.
