Alzheimer's Society director of external affairs Andrew Ketteringham is retiring, and will step down on 31 December. Ketteringham, aged 61, will have been director for five years by the end of 2011.

He will remain with the society until next July, working on a part-time basis to look after specific projects.

The National Autistic Society has appointed Kathrine Bancroft as head of PR and media, reporting to director of external affairs Amanda Batten. Bancroft joins from PLMR, where she is an associate director. Before joining PLMR she was press secretary to Vince Cable at Liberal Democrat HQ. She will oversee a team of seven, running the day-to-day press operation.

The Bella Moss Foundation is seeking a PR agency to help it develop a comms strategy and PR campaign. The foundation helps people and pets that are suffering from MRSA, and provides funding for research into diseases that pass from people to animals.

The Bluebeards Revenge, a British male grooming brand, has begun the search for a charity to support in 2012. Since its launch in the summer of 2010, the Devon-based company has supported The Fire Fighters Charity but is looking to diversify next year.
