The pitches are taking place this week, and Brown-Forman will be evaluating the agencies early next week. The pitch process is understood to now be closed and agencies will be contacted by next Friday. Brown-Forman has not ruled out a second stage in the process.
Finlandia brand manager for UK and Ireland Chris White said: 'We're undergoing a pitch process for social media business, ultimately to increase consumer awareness of Finlandia vodka. We've tasked the agencies with looking at the possibilities available to us and to bring recommendations to us about where we go and what media we use.'
White added that the strategy could focus around Twitter, Facebook or any other socal media network.
The budget is understood to be in the region of £50,000, and the campaign is expected to run until April 2012.
Brown-Forman currently uses Publicasity for trade PR including work for Finlandia.
