Kane is currently global brand leader at Ogilvy Healthworld, where he heads the account for pharma giant Boehringer Ingelheim. He will join CCC in August and report directly to European operations director Fiona Hall.
The current MD of Biosector 2, Neil Beasley, will take on a newly formed strategic client services and development role, servicing the entire CCC network and working across all its agencies. The move follows an ongoing restructure at CCC.
In December last year, Brandtectonics Access, the market access consultancy arm of CCC, was split across a number of CCC businesses following an internal review.
Commenting on the developments at CCC, Hall told PRWeek that there was a shift in the way the company was working with clients ‘in the face of mounting and multiple pressures’.
She added: ‘A good consultancy should always track trends and look for opportunities to better support clients. In a dynamic and evolving market, every practitioner should understand how to use every channel and if that means the agency structure needs to change to maximise it, so be it.’
Kane said: ‘The vision I will be leading by is one that aligns with the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.’
In May, Ogilvy Healthworld announced a new market access practice headed by two former MDs from CCC, Neil McGregor-Paterson and Carsten Edwards.
