In preparation for the launch of its latest mutual fund next month, Credit Suisse Asset Management Funds (CSAMF) has appointed financial services agency Penrose.
CSAMF, the UK retail arm of Credit Suisse Asset Management, Credit Suisse Group's mutual fund, awarded Penrose the account without a competitive pitch. The two-year-old agency has a general remit to target UK financial consumers.
Penrose partner Louise Hatch will lead the account and four-strong account team, reporting to CSAMF managing director Ian Chimes.
'We have established our business in the minds of independent financial advisers and wholesale buyers, but we want to build our brand among consumers who are financially aware,' said Chimes.
The account used to be managed by CSAMF's in-house team. CSAMF has pounds 1.5 billion under management in the UK. It retains Citigate Dewe Rogerson to handle PR for its institutional business.
Penrose adds the client to a list that includes Aberdeen Asset Management and Norwich Union Investment Fund.
The 20-strong agency was formed in 1998 by four former Ludgate directors - Louise Hatch, Gay Collins, Shona Prendergast and Andrew Nicolls.
