The agency pitched and won the three-month campaign after having worked on the brand’s trade PR for the past 18 months, alongside fellow Arla brands Lurpak and Anchor Cream.
Anchor brand manager Louise Turnball said: ‘Following a successful 18 months of working with Publicasity from a trade perspective, we were keen to draw on its consumer expertise to support this landmark birthday for Anchor Butter.
‘Both the consumer and trade PR campaign will reflect our exciting new advertising creative, starring the Anchor cows which are now synonymous with the brand.’
The agency has devised a campaign that uses the ad content as a hook to drive consumers to the branded memorabilia available on the brand’s Facebook shop.
The campaign will officially launch in July, and the agency is leading with a teaser campaign aimed at the media and blogging community, including product drops.
