The Cabinet Office is set to publish its response to former permanent secretary for government comms Matt Tee's report on the future of the COI at the end of this month. Tee has called for the abolition of the COI, to be replaced with a Government Communication Centre.

The University of Gloucestershire is running an information and awareness campaign, called One, to support the introduction of fees and to promote its financial support packages for 2012.

Transport Initiatives Edinburgh director of comms and customer services Mandy Haeburn-Little is stepping down. The announcement follows a dispute between TIE and its contractors Bilfinger Berger, which has halted work on the £545m project to develop Edinburgh's tram network. Work is due to restart in September.
