Michael Hoevel has been handed the new role after working for the company since 2006. He has been promoted from associate director.
Lexis MD Jason Gallucci said: ‘Adding to our sustainability offer allows Lexis to deliver a broader and more integrated range of services to or clients.’
Another specialist will also be brought on board to deal with CSR strategy and reporting so that Hoevel can focus on the client-facing side of the business.
Hoevel said: ‘Sustainability communications has evolved so much over the past decade. Fewer organisations see it as a liability and more are investing in it as a means of building brand value, motivating employees, managing their supply chain risks and assuring customers.’
He will continue to report to head of corporate, James Thellusson.
The news comes after Glasshouse Partnership recently won a Gates Foundation Award.
