The Outside Organisation has won a six-month contract to handle consumer media relations PR for the BBC Worldwide's new fortnightly celebrity magazine, star.
Outside was one of two agencies invited to pitch for the contract, which will cover the magazine's launch period. The first issue is out on 18 October.
Outside Organisation director of press Caroline McAteer will oversee the account reporting to Mike Blakemore, BBC magazines' head of press and PR. Blakemore said: 'It will bring a fresh, exciting approach to the project.'
Outside is not the only agency working on the launch. Henry's House, which already works on the BBC's Top of the Pops magazine, will assist the in-house marketing team developing the star brand through event opportunities, Blakemore added.
