No replacement for Financial Dynamics chair

City PR firm Financial Dynamics will not be directly replacing chairman Tony Knox when he retires at the end of this year.

City PR firm Financial Dynamics will not be directly replacing chairman Tony Knox when he retires at the end of this year.

Chief executive Nick Miles confirmed the consultancy will remain as it is with an 11-strong board and core team of three, including Charles Watson and Hugh Morrison, at the helm.

'We have built a very strong board structure as the company has grown, with myself as CEO and now 11 people on the board, so the structure will not be affected by Tony's retirement,' said Miles.

Financial PR veteran Knox will step down from his position as co-founder and chairman of Financial Dynamics for over 14 years to pursue other City interests.

Although he could not confirm details, Knox said he is looking to become involved in financial publishing and advertising.

He is also set to continue independent consulting for two of his clients which he has held for over 15 years: Kingfisher and Land Securities.

'I am not retiring from business, I am just changing direction,' said Knox.

'I feel I have done what I wanted to do in PR - which was to set up a successful firm,' he added.

Knox has worked on many of the agency's high-profile clients over the years, including Cable and Wireless and Railtrack during its privatisation.
