Northern Ireland Science Park has issued a brief for marketing and comms support worth £75,000 per year for the next three years.

The park, in Belfast, hosts a range of international and local technology-related companies. Firms based there fall under five areas of business activity including hi-tech, telecoms, digital media, clean technology and biotechnology.

London First's director of comms Graham Capper is to leave to seek a new role. Capper leaves the membership body, which represents business in London, in early August, to take an extended break while handling freelance opportunities. London First has started a recruitment process to replace Capper.

Visit York has appointed Fox Communications to work on a new campaign, after a three-way pitch.

The 'My York' campaign will take its inspiration from travel review sites such as TripAdvisor, encouraging visitors to recommend to others the city's highlights.

Hackney Council is partnering BBC Radio 1 to host the Hackney Weekend 2012 outdoor free-ticketed event on 23-24 June next year. The borough mayor Jules Pipe launched the event last week alongside Radio 1 controller Andy Parfitt and Hackney-born stars Leona Lewis, Trevor Nelson and Phillips Idowu.
