Bupa's social media drive

Bupa has launched a social media campaign aimed at improving people's health. Users can make a pledge at and set a goal based on the four main areas that improve health: exercise, diet, smoking cessation and alcohol consumption.

Burson-Marsteller has brought in Canadian consultant Caroline Cooper as a director in the UK healthcare team. Previously she spent five years with the firm's affiliate in Canada, National Public Relations. Prior to joining B-M, Cooper worked in the foods and lifestyle division of Hill & Knowlton in London, primarily working on Kellogg's foods.

Mundipharma has ended its relationship with Chamberlain PR. The drug firm appointed the agency in April 2010 to handle its corporate reputation. It is understood that the brief also covered the drug firm's external comms, including traditional and social media.

MHP Health Mandate was a double winner at the CIPR Excellence Awards last week, taking the corporate and business comms and the best healthcare campaign accolades.
