Harvard in Adobe battle

Bell Pottinger's tech brand Harvard is fighting to retain a wide-ranging brief with global software giant Adobe.

Understood to be worth an annual six-figure sum, it covers consumer, corporate and creative work for the firm.

Emma Wilkinson, PR manager, UK and Ireland at Adobe, confirmed the pitch process was under way, saying: 'We are looking at our agency structure and going through a review to reflect the way the company has changed over the past four years.'

Harvard won the retained account from Firefly in 2007 and is thought to be on the repitch shortlist. The brand also uses The Red Consultancy to support its education business and Hotwire for work around digital products.

Harvard has recently been through a period of change. Octopus director Louie St Claire became MD in January, following the departure of Lee Brooke, and director of strategy and planning Will Sturgeon joined GolinHarris in February.

It lost its Nokia account this year, but won the retained account for Research in Motion's BlackBerry range with sister agency Good Relations.
