Hi-tech PR agency LEWIS this week launched a scheme offering staff a month out of the office to keep them happy.

Whether it is to travel or to work on a business-related idea in more depth, the offer is being made to staff who have been with the company for more than two years. Staff can either take paid leave if undertaking work for the London-based company or unpaid if they want a holiday.

The move comes at a time when the issue of offering employees duvet days, in a bid to reduce sick leave, has received national media coverage.

But Morgan McLintic, LEWIS business development director, says their initiative is more to allow staff to try something different without leaving the firm.

He said, 'A lot of our staff join as graduates. We want to keep them and this will help.'
