Regus, the global serviced office provider, is undergoing a full international public relations review following the appointment of Dale Lawrence as global director of PR.
The firm's in-house PR team and agency roster spanning 48 countries falls under the review remit.
Lawrence is spearheading the communications overhaul having joined from his former position as head of European PR for German national airline Lufthansa (PRWeek, 15 December 2000).
He fills a role which has been vacant for the past three months since former PR chief Clive Hammond left to become London mayor Ken Livingstone's transport spokesman.
Reporting to group marketing director Jonathan Dutton, Lawrence has been tasked with carrying out a 'top to bottom' review.
'It's a thorough review of internal and external communications,' he said.
The shake-up has already brought about an appointment - following a two-way competitive pitch, sports agency Cherrett Price has been taken on to handle all PR surrounding Regus' sponsorship of golf's prestigious Ryder Cup.
Lawrence said all incumbents will be reviewed - in the UK this includes Financial Dynamics, Harrison Cowley and Tavistock Communications. There are also set to be a number of overseas agency appointments.
Lawrence added that he aims to create a Regus newsroom, taking on more internal PR staff to add to the three-strong team, starting with an additional press officer and an internal communications manager.
