Designer shoe online retailer Sarenza appoints agency for UK comms drive

French online shoe retailer, Sarenza has appointed Essence Communications to handle its UK PR and build on its 2010 UK launch.

Essence Communications will look to raise awareness of the brand within the UK and help establish it as Europe’s largest e-tailer. The site sold two million pairs of shoes this January alone.

Sarenza sells over 350 brands online from 747 sales points across the world. It stocks a range of high street and designer labels under the direction of shoe buyer Constance Le Ferrand.

Having begun work with the e-tailer in May 2010, Essence will target social, online, TV, celebrity and print media. The agency will pitch the site as a director competitor to online fashion giants ASOS and net-a-porter.
