Battersea-based Brighter began work on the account earlier this month and will target UK travel, business and trade media.
The comms team is to be led by executive chairman Steve Dunn, reporting to Portman’s chief commercial officer, Adrian Parkes.
Portman Travel provides companies with 24-7 care and handles travel and interim arrangements. Portman claims its expertise and existing relationships will ultimately save its clients money.
Brighter also handle comms for more than 20 other industry clients including hotels, airlines such as Korean Air and Qatar Airways and tourist boards, cruise ships and industry events.
