- What is it good for?

The Chesterfield is a pub and dining room in Notting Hill, serving affordable and delicious Pan-Asian cuisine in a contemporary setting that still retains the traditional feel of a classic English pub. It's also great for post-work drinks.

- Signature dishes

The duck and watermelon salad is the ultimate oriental salad. I also loved the chargrilled lamb rump with roasted potatoes and wasabi jus, and my guest had baked black cod with pickled kyuri zuke and shiro miso, which was the best she had ever tried. The lemon verbena martini was the perfect taste of spring too.

- Who's the boss?

First Restaurant Group, which also owns The Notting Hill Brasserie, The Ebury, Harry Morgan, The Waterway and The Summerhouse.

- Tips please?

There is a great seating area at the back outside, perfect for a quiet client dinner.

- What's the damage?

£18 for two courses
