MEDIA BRIEFS: Cool Magazine launch from DC Thomson

DC Thomson has launched a fortnightly magazine aimed at seven to 11-year-old girls. Cool Magazine is underpinned by what, given recent hand-wringing over overt sexuality in the sector, seems a radical idea - that its readership is not interested in boys. Editor Anne Kemp said it would be a mixture of pop, fashion, quizzes and puzzles.
