PUBLIC SECTOR: Scottish education project to boost PR

The University of the Highlands and Islands Project is looking to appoint its first PR manager. The project links 13 education institutions across northern Scotland. PR work is currently carried out by teams at individual sites and by retained Inverness agency Michael Fraser Associates. The project has existed for six years and is partly funded through the Millennium Commission. The Government is debating whether to classify it as a higher education institute. 'It's time for us to concentrate on our branding and for it to be co-ordinated from one place,' said vice-CEO Ralph Palmer.
